CONCRETE / CEMENT MASONS

Concrete

Concrete quantity, rebar, slab and footing math. Use the tabs below to switch between working calculators and quick field-reference material.

Field-reference aid. Use approved drawings, current codes/standards, manufacturer data and job-specific procedures for final decisions—especially for lifting, electrical, pressure, fire-protection and life-safety work.

Volume conversion

1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet.

Slab volume

Cubic yards = length(ft) × width(ft) × thickness(ft) ÷ 27.

Waste

Small pours often need a waste/overage allowance for grade variation, spillage and form irregularities.

Reinforcing

Bar size, spacing, cover and lap requirements come from the drawings/specifications and applicable code.
